Visiting
We will be offering guided tours of the project this summer:
2pm Saturday 14th August
2pm Saturday 18th September
10am Saturday 2nd October
Please note that the project is in its earliest developmental stage - you will see the very first steps of building an ecovillage.
Please bring outdoor clothing and footwear. The tour includes areas of rough terrain, and lasts approximately 2 hours.
We are providing tours this year free of charge. However if you would like to give something in return then donations are welcome.
Directions:
From South Pembrokeshire (A40). Take the A478 North from Narberth towards Cardigan. About 4 miles after Glandy-Cross turn right (signposted) to Glandwr. At the village crossroads turn left. Approximately 400 yards after the bridge, the Lammas entrance is on the left.
From North Pembrokeshire (Cardigan), take the A478 South towards Tenby. About 2 miles after Crymych, turn left (signposted) to Glandwr. At the village crossroads turn left. Approximately 400 yards after the bridge, the Lammas entrance is on the left.
Please travel with your friends and neighbours in order to minimise vehicle impact.
If you wish to visit outside of these tour dates, then this will need to be arranged via the Lammas contact form.
Please do not visit at any other times without prior arrangement.
Unfortunately we do not have the resources to accomodate casual visitors- the Lammas families are all very busy building their smallholdings at the moment. Thankyou
Volunteering
Lammas offers a range of volunteer opportunities ranging from placement on individual plots to volunteer experience weeks.
Lammas Volunteer Experience Weeks:
These weeks are designed to offer a wide range of low-impact experiences in a vibrant community atmosphere. Participants will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the Lammas project at both a plot-level and a wider community level.
We provide sumptuous food and social gathering opportunities in a place of exquisite natural beauty.
We are currently taking bookings for our next volunteer-experience week:
Monday 20th September - Sunday 26th September 2010
There is a charge of £145 per participant which covers every meal (all are prepared for you), tools and other costs during your stay with us.
Participants either need to bring their own accomodation (tents/ camper-vans etc.) or need to book accomodation in a neighbouring farmhouse (at extra charge).
Attending a volunteer week opens the door to longer term volunteer opportunities.
If you are interested please fill in the form below.

Volunteering for a family:
Lammas also faciliates short term volunteer opportunities on the smallholding plots. Placement on a plot offers an on-the-ground perspective of the project. You will share meals with the host family in return for assisting them directly with their plot development/ build.
Volunteers will need their own accomodation (tents/ camper-van etc.), and placements are short term - up to a week (for longer term opportunities, see above).
